Crea-re Pendant Globe Azul
Globe Azul pendant from Crea-re is a beautifully made pendant and refers to the shape of Earth. Its structure – porous, irregular symbolizes soil – dry and cracked. Globe Azul is made with paper pulp obtained from old newspapers therefore it is 100% recycled.
Its “nucleus” the source of light, brings it to life. When enabled, we’ll see a glowing and full of light planet. Globe was inspired by the paintings of Polish Grupa Nowohucka. The material used for its creation – paper – is being destroyed, broken into tiny pieces, which, in hot temperature again links into a new, completely different entity. “Paper” can be later shaped in many different ways and in its final form brings an association with nature, its source.

Crea-re offers eco friendly, self designed, handmade products. Crea-re’s name derives from ‘creativity’ CREA and from ‘recycling’ RE.
Crea-Re is a duo based in Barcelona Spain, designers Maria Fiter (Polish) who projects eco friendly lighting and furniture and Marco Migliorisi (Italian) who designs eco cases for musical instruments. Their belief is that properly designed interiors have a positive impact on our mood and state of mind.
“I create eco friendly lighting made mostly with paper mache and wood. To create paper pulp lamps I use only old newspapers, in this way they are 100% recycled. In my wooden products I use only water based varnish and beeswax finish. Each paper pulp lamp is different, it is not possible to make two exactly the same. I make each of them by myself and each of them has its own story. Their stories talk about my inspirations to create them. In the series of lamps called “Copernicus” the inspiration for all of the lamps comes from the planets of the Solar System like: Luna, Jupiter, Pluto, Globe. Art is also art a great source of inspiration for me. The structure of lamps gray, porous, irregular, dry and cracked was inspired by the paintings of the Polish artist group called Grupa Nowohucka.
Many of our projects are made from recycled materials: lamps made from unwanted newspapers, lamps from clips, shelves from wood which was doomed to be thrown out, bags made from old truck tarpaulin. We are against disposing of things. Crea-re gives a second life to the objects.”
